The Portsmouth Napoleonic Society
 
The objectives of the Society are; to promote the public education and appreciation of the Peninsular War between the years 1807-1814; to promote the public education and appreciation of the Waterloo campaign of 1815; to encourage research on all matters pertaining to the campaigns and to assist in publication and corroboration of such research and to recreate the battlefields of these campaigns for public display onto a tabletop scenario.

We are a group of writers who meet to present and discuss our work. We meet at the St Mark's Church, North End, Portsmouth on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. We meet from 7:30 to 9:30. Anyone is welcome.

Aims: To help to relieve problems of civil servants and their dependents in retirement including loneliness, suffering, hardship and distress
 
The group meets at St Simons Church Hall, Waverley Road, Southsea on the second Wednesday of each month at 1030am and the fourth Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm - excluding August. The mornings are normally coffee mornings and at the afternoon meetings either a speaker or other entertainment is arranged. There are also day outings and holidays organised.

The Friends of Highland Road Cemetery are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the upkeep and promotion of the cemetery. They offer guided walks on several weekends each year and carry out research into the people buried there. Membership of the Friends is open to all visitors.

This is the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps (Portsmouth Division) based in HMS Excellent, Whale Island, Portsmouth.  We currently train around 100 cadets between the ages of 10 and 17 in a variety of military, naval and adventurous activities.
